The Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji has ordered for the criminal prosecution of former Transport Cabinet Secretary Michael Kamau.
The DPP stated there was sufficient evidence to warrant court action.
Detectives working for the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commissions (EACC) on Tuesday morning raided Engineer Kamau's home.
The Anti-corruption detectives raided Kamau’s home in Windy Ridge, Karen seeking to have evidence in an ongoing case.
The former CS left Cabinet in 2015 after EACC included him among senior government officials who were under investigation.
The case involved claims that Kamau had abused office in 2007 by
interfering in the award of a Sh33 million tender for the construction
of Kamukuywa-Kaptama-Kapsokwony-Sirisia road.
